18/108 of What Will Be

“I hate to hear you talk about all women as if they were fine ladies instead of rational creatures. None of us want to be in calm waters all our lives.”
― Jane AustenPersuasion

I often stop and look at my young students and my own children, and think how lucky they are to still have such few memories of being afraid.  Humans need to take risks and be willing to accept the fears as part of the process.  Whether we fail or succeed at the task in front of us, it is the pursuit that makes us stronger and enables the human spirit to continue in a healthy state. When we allow ourselves to answer yes to the possibilities before us, we open ourselves to a bigger life.  The life will change, grow and thrive when the heart and mind are willing to try.

The above photo I took of my daughter who was learning to surf in Sopelana, Spain.  She is my guide, my yoga and my reminder to continue to try.
